Bubble coral

origin:

The bubble coral, scientifically known as Plerogyra sinuosa, is a captivating addition to any marine aquarium. Originating from the Indo-Pacific region, this coral species thrives in warm waters with moderate to high lighting conditions.

Feeding:

When it comes to feeding, bubble coral is primarily photosynthetic, deriving a significant portion of its nutrition from the symbiotic algae called zooxanthellae. However, it also benefits from supplemental feedings of meaty foods such as brine shrimp, mysis shrimp, and finely chopped fish or shrimp.

Tank setups:

To ensure a proper tank setup, it is essential to provide a stable environment with appropriate water parameters. Bubble coral prefers moderate water flow and requires a well-maintained reef aquarium with stable temperature, salinity, and pH levels.

Water perameters:

Bubble coral prefers a temperature range of 75-80°F, a pH level between 8.1-8.4, and a specific gravity of 1.023-1.025

Maintinence:

Maintenance of bubble coral involves regular water quality testing and adjustments, as well as routine cleaning to prevent the accumulation of debris. It is crucial to avoid direct contact with the coral's delicate tissue while handling or moving it within the tank.
