Purple/silver Indophyllia

Indophyllia

Origin:

Indophyllia are native to the warm waters of the indonesia and red sea often found thriving on rocks and softer substrate like sand

Water Parameters:

 Temperature: Maintain a stable temperature between 75°F to 80°F (24°C to 27°C).

Salinity: Keep salinity levels between 1.023 and 1.025.

pH: Maintain a pH level between 8.1 and 8.4.

Lighting: Moderate to high lighting is ideal. Use LED or T5 fluorescent lights to provide the necessary intensity and spectrum for their growth.

Water Flow: Provide moderate water flow to simulate natural ocean currents. Avoid to strong of currents as they may damage the delicate tissues of the coral.

Feeding:

Indophyllia are photosynthetic and obtain a significant portion of their nutritional requirements through photosynthesis. However, they can also benefit from supplemental feeding.

Microplankton: They can be fed with liquid coral foods that contain microplankton. Feed them a few times a week by targeting the food directly towards the corals mouth.

Meaty Foods: Additionally, you can offer small pieces of meaty foods such as brine shrimp, mysis shrimp, or finely chopped seafood. Feed them once or twice a week.

Maintenance:

Water Quality: It is essential to monitor water parameters regularly using appropriate test kits to ensure optimal conditions for your corals.

Water Changes: Perform regular water changes of 10-20% every week to maintain water quality and remove accumulated waste products.

Acclimation: When introducing Indophyllia to your tank, follow proper drip acclimation procedures to minimize stress.

Additional Tips:

Placement: Place the coral in the mid to lower areas of the tank, ensuring they receive adequate lighting and propper flow.
